Focal point refers to the distance between the lens and the point where it focuses. For our Stash Jars, we use a magnifying lens with a focal length of 50mm (1.9 inches). This means that the lens provides a 50mm distance from the lens to the object being viewed where the image is perfectly focused. So for viewing small collections a 4 ounce stash jar is a good option for keeping the item you are viewing in focus. But if you have a larger quantity to store or want to view larger amounts then simply move our lid to a 8, 16, or even a 32 ounce mason jar.
